2018 Inspiration and Trends from Atlanta International Home Furnishings Market
We spent last weekend at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, where over 9,000 brands showcased breaking trends in home decor, furniture, rugs and accessories. We are truly inspired by the beautiful colors, textures and furnishings we saw.
We love the wood grain area rug in this room, coupled with the pop of red in the chair.
We saw a lot of timeless black and gold at market. We liked the traditional lines of the chair juxtaposed with the modern graphic area rug.
Pantone named “Ultra Violet” as 2018’s color of the year. Here we see a subtle nod to the color on the walls, with neutral furnishings.
We saw a lot of bold colors this year at Atlanta’s winter market. This marigold is a new take on the 70’s yellow. We like it repeated in the boldly patterned rug.
These accent tables used solid and reclaimed stone to make a statement. We were drawn to some of the table top accessories in this vignette too. We like the smaller stature and contrasting dark wood frame and legs of the white chairs in the background. We definitely saw a lot of smaller scale furniture and lower to-the-ground furniture, in line with the mid-century modern trend.
This is one of our go-to vendors, and we really loved the way they showcased their accessories and decor. Organized, loosely by color.
This vignette struck us because of the sleek glass and metal table and chair details that were paired with the warmth of the natural wood mirror and console.
